How To Set Up The Notifier To Receive Alerts:

a) Login into Keyword Catcher

b) Click on the "Notifier" tab

c) Click on "add keyword"

In the keyword box, enter your keyword.

Enter any keyword, domain name, URL, etc. that you wish to be notified for if the conditions are met.

(When a certain event occurs, in this case when any keyword, domain name, or URL is queried in a search engine and the produced the result includes a link to your website which leads a visitor to your web page)

You can also use * as a wildcard for partial matches.

Example: key* or buy*

The "Active" box:

Checking this box will activate the notifier. When your event has taken place the program will send an e-mail to the e-mail address you have used during installation.

Un-checking this box will de-activate the notifier until further notice.

The "Type" box:

Here are three discriminating options. Either you choose both keyword and referrer events to provoke the sending of a notifier message or only keyword or referrer events to provoke the sending of a notifier message.

The "Select domain" box:

Here you choose which domain you need the events to be tracked for. You must choose at least one domain, for the moment only one domain can be chosen.

The "Keyword occurrences" box:

Here you choose the number of times the event has to take place for a notifier message to be sent.

For example:

You could be running a test PPC campaign and you could be bidding on a specific buy keyword that costs 1$.

AdWords will not warn you if NATURAL ORGANIC TRAFFIC is bringing visitors to your site for this Keyword, it will only tell you if PAID PER CLICK visits have occurred.

You can set up notifier to send you a message when the keyword has been queried on your domain a specific number of times and brought a visit to your website.

If you want to measure the exact CONVERSION RATE for a keyword like "buy keyword catcher", you could ask notifier to send you a warning message when every 10 occurrences have taken place. This ONLY MEASURES NATURAL ORGANIC SEARCH QUERIES, which you still have to add to the PPC visits to obtain a MUCH MORE PRECISE CONVERSION RATE, because you have to combine PPC TRAFFIC and ORGANIC TRAFFIC to find the exact conversion ratio.

The "Run once" box:

If checked, notifier will run event only once, un-checked, keyword notifier runs request until disabled.

The "Send to email" box:

Here you can specify the email recipient if you wish to use an email address other than the one you specified in the "Settings Page" during installation. Leave empty if you want the notifier message to be sent to the email address specified in the "Settings" page during installation.

When you have checked all criteria and you are satisfied, click on the "add keyword" button.

Your notifier should be active.
