Keyword Catcher - Installation Instructions
Server:
The following settings are needed on your server for Keyword Catcher to function properly:
Operating System: Linux, Unix, FreeBSD or Windows
Web Server: Apache
Scripting Language: PHP 4.4.0 (or higher)
Database: MySQL 4.1 (or higher)
Ability to run ionCube
Ability to run Cron Jobs
php.ini File Settings:
safe_mode - must be turned Off
STEP 1: Upload
Unzip the keyword_catcher.zip file that you downloaded from client area to a local folder on your PC.
Upload the entire unzipped folder to your website's root (°) folder using an FTP program.If you do not have an FTP program, you can download and install it for free from here: http://filezilla-project.org
(°) Usually, this will be the "index_html" folder on your server. The "keyword_catcher" folder can be renamed if you wish to. The default that will be used by the installation procedure is "keyword_catcher"
Once all files are uploaded, make the following file writeable (CHMOD 777).

STEP 2: Create database
Go to your server's control panel (cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk, etc.), create a new SQL database and assign a user to it. Remember to write down the database name, username and password as you will need them in the 4th step.
The user must be set to "ALL PRIVILEGES"
Do not log out of your control panel just yet.
STEP 3: Add cron job
While still in your servers control panel, add new cron job.
Time settings:
Minute = 0
Hour = 3
Day = 1
Month = *
Weekday = *
Command line:
php -q /path/to/keyword_catcher/cronjob/maintenance.php
Example:
0 3 1 * * php -q /path/to/keyword_catcher/cronjob/maintenance.php
Note:
If you are unsure of the path, skip this step for now and go to next one. On the installation page, you will see the full path that you need to set up the cronjob. You can then simply copy and paste the path to your cronjob command field.
STEP 4: Install Keyword Catcher
Run the installer script on your server. Simply type in the URL to the install script in your browser's address bar.
For example:
http://www.domain.tld/keyword_catcher/install.php
If you skipped the 3th step, copy and paste the cronjob path field that you see on the install page to your cronjob command now.
Fill out all the fields and press "Install" button.
STEP 5: Change file permission and delete file
Remove the writeable permissions from the file:
config.php (Set it to 644)
Delete the installation file:
install.php

Upgrading
If you already have a previous version of Keyword Catcher installed, simply upload all the files that are in the upgrade zip (Step 1) folder after unzipping it and go to your login page and follow the instructions.
